One Prism More Dimensions – Jette Hye Jin Mortensen
Why can we see complimentary colours with the human eye, that we cannot measure? Artists have always found inspiration in Goethe’s holistic colorspectrum and scientists have build their research upon Newton’s optical prism experiments. In the interactive light artwork “One Prism More Dimensions” visual artist Jette Hye Jin Mortensen brings art and science together in Ørestad Nord during Copenhagen Light Festival 2019. Projected colour spectrums made entirely by natural prismatic effect, water and programming draw new organic lines from the scale of the body to the cityscape.
