Erichsens Mansion
The main building in the classical style was built in 1797-1801 by CF Harsdorff and the interior by Joseph-Jacques Ramée (Masson & Ramée, Hamburg). The Mansion was restored and converted by Frederik L. Levy 1888-1892 and later by Carl Brummer 1928-1930. The mansion has been listed since 1918.
The building, which was built for the rich merchant, Erich Erichsen, was one of Copenhagen's grandest mansions in classicism and supposedly the first citizen's house, where columns are used (and not just pilasters or half columns). They were unofficially reserved for royal and noble residences until then.
