Enter the tunnel
A steep section of the former horse-drawn railway Budweis-Linz-Gmunden at St. Magdalena. Finished in 1836 it was the second public railway line on the European mainland (after the railway line Saint-Étienne-Andrézieux) and was used primarily for transporting salt from the Salzkammergut to Bohemia. The horse tram was shut down in December 1872.
